Open Data Portals
National Data Portal (Nepal) – National Statistics Office
Data.nsonepal - Public datasets across many sectors: government, health, education, socio-economic etc.
Open Data Nepal - Great for macro data; not always detailed at individual level; some datasets not updated frequently.
Demographic Dynamics of Nepal - The Digital Data System for Development (DDS4D) developed a population model (2011–2031) projecting demographics with variables such as population, births, deaths, migration, dependency, aging, and health targets.
Nepal in Data - An open data portal by Bikas Udhyami providing accessible development statistics on Nepal from 1950 to the present.
Hydropower Portal - Jointly developed by Niti Foundation and Naxa, this portal offers data on hydropower development.
Housing Recovery and Reconstruction Platform - An online platform sharing public data on housing reconstruction, detailing activities, locations, and implementing organizations.
Nepal Disability Data Portal - Developed by the National Federation of the Disabled Nepal, it provides open-format datasets, qualitative information, and research on disability in Nepal.
National Population and Housing Census 2021 - Various analyses of demographic data including persons and households across various compositions.
GIS (Geographic Information System) portal for local governments in Nepal - a centralized government-maintained GIS directory that helps people find official websites of municipalities and rural municipalities.
List of official portals for ministries, provinces, districts and provincial assemblies.
Company Registries & Information
Office of Company Registrar (OCR), Nepal - You can search by company registration number or name, see company type, address, annual filings etc.
Company Data of Nepal (Github) - Filtered and sorted company registered data of Nepal (from 2003 to 2072) Extracted from Office of Company Registrar.
Open Sanctions - Contains 1,762 entities connected with Nepal. This may include sanctioned entities, politically-exposed persons (PEPs), and their close associates, or entities involved in criminal activity.
OCCRP Aleph - The global archive of research material for investigative reporting.
People Search
Election Commission – Voter Roll / Voter List - You can search the voter list by district, ward, etc., find names associated with addresses (though maybe limited detail).
Open Sanctions - Contains 1,762 entities connected with Nepal. This may include sanctioned entities, politically-exposed persons (PEPs), and their close associates, or entities involved in criminal activity.

Try both Latin and Devanagari scripts when searching names. E.g., “Ram Bahadur” and “राम बहादुर”.

Land Records & Maps
Mero Kitta / NeLIS (Nepal Land Information System) - Must know plot identifier or owner’s name; some services only available in certain districts; sometimes scan of documents required; may require login or proof.
National Geoportal - Spatial / GIS layers with boundaries, maps, geo-metadata. Useful to locate property, see surroundings.
Department of Land Management and Archive (Dolma) - Provides a Public Access Module (PAM) so citizens can access certain land services online.
Vehicle, Flight, and Vessel Search
Flightradar24 — realtime flight map, search by flight number, aircraft reg, or airport (KTM).
Tip: enter the flight number (e.g. “RA###” for Nepal Airlines) or search airport KTM for arrivals/departures.
FlightAware — global flight tracking, airline fleet pages and airport status (has Nepal Airlines / KTM pages).
ADS-B Exchange — community ADS-B feed with very detailed raw positions (useful if you want unfiltered ADS-B data).
MarineTraffic — the most-used AIS live-map, vessel details, ETA, port calls.
VesselFinder — free realtime AIS tracking and vessel database.
Check the vehicle’s traffic fine history via the Nagarik App.
Procurement / Tenders
PPMO – Public Procurement Monitoring Office - Central portal for e-GP (electronic Government Procurement), tenders, online evaluation, etc.
Courts
Supreme Court of Nepal - Judgments, cause lists, daily/weekly case lists, Supreme Court orders, decisions, rules, etc.
Law Commission of Nepal - Current laws, draft bills, archived legislation, legal-research publications, legal vocabulary / dictionary, notifications, etc.
