Investigating businesses, properties, vehicles, and individuals in Cuba presents unique challenges due to limited public access to official records. However, several open-source intelligence (OSINT) resources can aid in such investigations.
Open Data Portals
ODIN – Open Data Inventory: Provides a profile of Cuba's open data landscape, highlighting the availability and quality of public datasets.
World Bank Data: Offers economic indicators and development statistics for Cuba, useful for understanding the country's economic environment.
OpenSanctions - contains 1,464 entities connected with Cuba. This may include sanctioned entities, politically-exposed persons (PEPs), and their close associates, or entities involved in criminal activity.
Humanitarian Data Exchange (HDX) - hosts over 120 datasets contributed by more than 40 organizations, offering a comprehensive overview of humanitarian and development data for Cuba.
Our World in Data - a collection of statistical indicators across various domains.
Company Registries & Directories
The Registro Mercantil is the official commercial registry in Cuba, managed by the Ministry of Justice. It oversees the registration of various entities. While the registry itself is not publicly searchable online, you might be able to request information directly from the Ministry of Justice.

Gaceta Oficial de la República de Cuba - Official government publication where new regulations, legal notices, and sometimes company registrations are published. Check for announcements of newly registered companies, changes in statutes, or liquidation notices.
